I prayed to Our Lady Mediatrix of All Graces to spare our city of New Orleans during the recent threat from hurricane George. I feel that my prayers were answered because the city suffered only comparatively minor damage.

I have prayed these two prayers on it holding our Blessed Mother’s Hand. We received almost four inches of rain to break the drought.

George C calls on November 7, 2011 from PA about being spared from the flood caused by hurricane Irene in August 2011 through Our Lady’s Icon

George: Our neighborhood was spared from the flood!

F: How close did it come to your home this time?

G: I didn’t see any water. The icon is facing the river. You come in the doorway and she is straight on the right hand side.

F: You were spared from what river – was it the Susquehanna?

G: The Susquehanna. The people one block away were flooded. We are near the river.

F: You’re not even on a hill? You were really spared. I thought you were higher up.

G: Oh, no! And my sister, she calls and she says, “Did they evacuate you yet?” They were lifted up and taken to Suny. All the people on that street did! She said, “How come you are not …” I said, “We don’t have any water on our street!”

F: And you’re only one block away. And I know it was really bad last time and you got spared and here again, you were spared. When was this rain again, when did it come?

G: In September, it was the hurricane. It was bad. Again, our street was spared from the corner down there all the way up.

F: It reached the corner and no further.

G: All the houses were spared.

F: But your sister who was a block away got a lot of water damage.

G: The water was right up to the first floor. I told my sister, “No, we weren’t evacuated.”

F:   Your sister did not believe you. That is surprising she did not believe you. This was the second time you were spared in the last several years.

G: Listen, I have pictures.

F: I’d like to see that to show on our website how the flood flooded all the homes, and the streets and completely destroyed businesses and yet you were spared the first time and then you are spared a second time. Whatever the newspapers have: picture books – I can ask them for permission to put the pictures on our website.

G: They are selling the books on the flood and so I’ll send you one – and wait until you look at the pictures!! You are going to be surprised!

F: How bad it was. Let me know about it when it comes. I’d like to get those pictures on our website.

G: But you know something, Francis, I often wonder, how come when anyone comes to me and I go to Our Mother and intercede on their behalf and all of the sudden the prayers are always answered.

Grace N from Houston, TX writes in June 2004 – about thanksgiving for family blessings and prayer requests through Prayer card.

My dear people In Christ (Mediatrix of All Graces)

I have written to you before to report of some Blessings I received because I say this prayer almost every day. But I got no reply from you because I made some requests in the letter. I asked if there is any prayer group to help me pray for my needs. So I am writing again.

These are the Blessings I got –

1. My daughter succeeded in joining the husband here in America from home.
2. My other daughter was blessed with a baby boy.
3. I got out of my misery, did a course and got something doing.
4. My children back home are doing fine.
5. I am healthier now and my young daughter I came with is trying.

These are the Requests I am praying for now:

1. That our plans now for my son to come over to America will work and he comes over

1. That my daughter may be treated of her fibroid and she gets children (Mrs. Celestina Ondi)
2. That my plans for my daughter Miriam to come over to join me here in US, may also work.
3. That my other daughter Geraldine may get a partner in life.
4. That God may continue to guide and protect my children back home.
5. That God gives all of us long life and bless those that help me and my children.

Elizabeth M e-mails from the Philippines in February 2010 – about request for Prayers for husband’s healing from acoustic neuroma through Prayer card.

We would like to be included in your daily mass offerings especially for my husband – Enrico A. who was diagnosed with acoustic neuroma on his right ear. Although the tumor is benign our doctors are suggesting on surgery to take out the tumor. We are in a predicament right now as the results after the surgery is not good. He will lose his hearing, might affect his balance, can cause headaches or affect the facial nerve. Right now we are praying the novena of Our Lady Mediatrix of All Graces as a friend mailed us a copy. This is also the reason why I ordered as I would like to share it with friends and relatives. I am also a cancer survivor. Right now my blood pressure has gone up due to the stress on my husband’s illness. Also it will have a financial strain on us as our doctors suggested to have his surgery in the States. Your prayers and mass offerings will help us a lot.
